PARKLAND, FL- Florida reported just under 6,000 new daily Coronavirus cases and 146 deaths on Friday.
Florida has vaccinated a total of 2,895,170 and 1,588,027 have completed the series. Broward County has vaccinated 246,294 and 145,194 have completed the series.
The percent of positive results ranged from 5.18% to 6.88% over the past 2 weeks and was 5.18% on Thursday, February 25, 2021. The percentage calculated is for people that test positive for the first time and does not include people that had previously tested positive.
Here are the current COVID-19 numbers according to the Florida Department of Health as of Friday, February 26, 2021:
Florida: 1,892,301 total confirmed cases, an increase of 5,922 since yesterday.
Broward County: 193,560 total confirmed cases, an increase of 822 since yesterday.
Parkland: 2,137 total confirmed cases, an increase of 6 since yesterday.
Coral Springs: 10,909 total confirmed cases, an increase of 50 since yesterday.
Deaths in Florida related to COVID-19: 30,624 an increase of 146 since yesterday.
Broward County: 8,855 (4.6%) total hospitalizations with 2,369 (1.2%) deaths due to COVID-19. Deaths increased by 4 since yesterday. The median age is 39.
Broward County Percent Positive: 6.% per the latest data on February 25, 2021.
Broward County Hospital Bed Availability: Hospitals have 920 (17.1%) beds available and 81 (16.4%) adult ICU beds available per the latest data on February 26, 2021.

- Heron Heights Elementary: 8 cases (+2: 1 student, 1 teacher)
- Marjory Stoneman Douglas: 41 cases (+5: 3 students, 2 teachers)
- Mary Help of Christians School: 8 cases (+1: 1 teacher)
- Park Trails Elementary: 22 cases (+1: 1 staff)
- Riverglades Elementary: 24 cases (+2: 2 students)
- Somerset Parkland Academy: 15 cases (+1:1 student)
- Westglades Middle School: 14 cases (+2: 2 students)
