HOPATCONG, NJ - Hopatcong’s Friday Night Lights brought out many members of the staff and community to support Breast Cancer Awareness along with Staff Appreciation Day on Oct. 4.
Members of the staff wore players’ jerseys during the day and at the game, where staff was acknowledged during halftime. Cynthia Randina, Superintendent of Schools, attended the football game wearing senior William Russell’s No. 7 jersey.
The football players, cheerleaders, coaches and fans wore pink to denote October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The cheerleaders also raised funds to be donated for breast cancer research. Athletic Director Tom Vara coordinated the events of both the day and the evening.
