TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the state on during his Friday afternoon press conference, where he continued to encourage residents to respond to the census, announcement improvements to the state's COVID dashboard, had harsh words for Senator Mitch McConnell and reminded people that the state still is dealing with COVID-19.

In New Jersey, there were 699 new cases reported, with 10 new deaths. Murphy noted that there were no hospital deaths in the previous 24 hours ending Thursday at 10:30pm.   It was the first time since March 10 that there were no reported deaths.   Statewide, there are 181,6605 positive cases and 13,944 deaths, and 1,875 probable COVID-19 deaths.

Bergen County Executive James Tedesco announced that there are 20,497 positive cases in the county as of 12 pm Friday. According to Tedesco, Hasbrouck Heights has 218 cases, Wood-Ridge has 154 cases, and Teterboro has 5 cases.

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 20,472 positive cases, and followed by Essex (19,488), Hudson (19,478), Middlesex (17,673), Passaic (17,429) with 648 under investigation.  There are a total of 1,785 deaths in Bergen County, while Essex County, continues to lead the state with 1,859, according to Governor Murphy.

As of 10 p.m. Thursday, Murphy noted there were 695 patients in the hospital, 352 testing positive for COVID-19, and 343 persons under investigation. There are 113 patients were in ICU or critical care, and 45 patients on ventilators, per the governor.
