September 18, 2013 at 1:23 PM

FANWOOD, NJ – On Tuesday night Katherine Balch, who is in charge of publicity for the Friends of Fanwood Memorial Library, addressed the Fanwood Council Meeting. She was representing the Library Board and brought the Council up to date with developments at the Library.

“We developed a strategic plan for the library last winter. We conducted a survey, collected the results, and sent the council a summary of the results in June. We’ve developed a new logo, and a new website is in the works," said Balch.

Balch asked the council for volunteers to help move ahead with the items as described in the Strategic Plan. “The areas of need are space and safe access. "The library is non compliant, we are very interested in getting wheel chair and stroller access to the lower level so that people can enjoy the children’s room. Technology is another big area of need.”
