Friends of the Livingston Library Presents 'Shop for a Cause'

LIVINGSTON, NJ – On Aug. 24, shoppers will receive a ticket to Macy’s discounts as well as a chance to win a $500 gift card when they donate $5.00 to Friends of the Livingston Library (FOTLL).

The Shop for a Cause program benefits the FOTLL organization and those who participate in the program. Individuals who donate $5.00 to the Friends of the Livingston Library receive a Macy's Shop for a Cause ticket.

On Saturday, Aug. 24, this ticket entitles the holder to enter a drawing for a $500 Macy's gift card, receive 25% off on regular, sale and clearance merchandise throughout any Macy’s store, and/or get 10% off furniture, electronics, mattresses and area rugs. Certain restrictions do apply, but so many savings are possible. The ticket is good for shopping all day.

FOTLL will also have a table set up at the Marcy’s Livingston Mall where members will be giving away a free gift.

FOTLL is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the Livingston Public Library and its programs.  FOTLL supports the library by facilitating Summer Reading Programs for Children and Teens, the Museum Pass Program, guest speaker series, and by purchasing books and non-print media.

Earlier in the year, FOTLL received a $2,500.00 grant from Macy’s to fund the Library’s E-Reader Experience Program which allows library patrons to borrow an e-reader pre-loaded with books for either adults or children.

Tickets can be purchased online through the FOTLL website, by phone (973-992-4600 x505), or by mail (Friends of the Livingston Library, 10 Robert Harp Drive, Livingston). Tickets will also be available for sale on the day of the event at the FOTLL table at the Macy's in Livingston Mall.
