CLARK, NJ -- Funeral arrangements for Clark resident Michael Sot were announced on Thursday.  Sot, 20, died Tuesday as a result of injuries he sustained in a head-on collision early Sunday morning.  

Michael Sot was a sophomore at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) where he was a Math major with the aspiration of becoming an actuary and was a member of The Phi Kappa Psi National Fraternity. He graduated from Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark, where he was a star baseball player and a member of the National Honor Society.  

He is survived by his mother, Candice Buno Sot, his father, Michael Edward Sot; younger brothers Jon Sot and Matthew Sot, sister Jessica Sot and step-brother Frankie Fabio; step-mother Jana Fabio; grandparents Jasmin and Tom Buno, and Carolyn and Ed Sot, and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services for The College of New Jersey sophomore are planned for 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home in Westfield. The funeral mass will take place at St. John the Apostle Church in Clark on Monday, Dec. 10.

According to the Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home's website, the Sot family has requested that friends planning to attend the funeral meet at the church.

Ironically, Michael Sot was the designated driver of his car on Sunday. The driver of the other vehicle, David Lamar, 22, was arrested after investigators found that he was driving while impaired.
