WEST ORANGE, NJ - The Garden State Concert Band is making its appearance at Eagle Rock Reservation on Friday, August 15 as part of the free Essex County Summer Music series.

Expect to hear hits from the Big Band Era featuring the music of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Stan Kenton. Conductor Dominic Ferrara will continue the band's mission to preserve the historic importance of Big Bands.

Other concerts will feature performances by Jose Chavarria, and the David Cedeno Orchestra at other Essex County Parks.

“Our Free Concert Series offers a diverse lineup of performers who will take center stage in venues throughout our historic Essex County Park System. Pack a blanket, enjoy the cool evening breeze and dance to the sounds of classical, rock and roll, jazz, big band, Latin and more. We have a spectacular line-up that is sure to entertain and impress,” DiVincenzo said.
