The 2020 camp serves ages 3 to 15 and choices will include traditional, sports and specialty camps.

Some of the Glen Rock Community School's 2020 offerings include: Baking, Woodworking, Music, Coding, Veterinarians in Training, Kindergarten Readiness, and Jewelry Making camps.

“There is truly something for everyone as we want campers to try new adventures and explore different subjects and talents. Our one and two week camps make it easy to try a few different camps throughout the summer,” said Allison De Meulder, Director of the Community School.

GRCS traditional camps such as Busy Bee and Play Camp will be returning for eight one-week sessions. Last year, Busy Bee went through an overhaul and summer 2019 parents approved of the upgrades and changes. GRCS traditional camps offer campers a day filled with a variety of activities, and Busy Bee is one of the few camps to offer swimming lessons four days a week.

Specialty camps have campers delving into a wide variety of interests. The following favorite specialty camps are returning this summer: Sewing, Cooking, Young Authors: Reading, Middle School Prep, Chess and Art.

Last summer Art camp was introduced and sold out quickly. GRCS Art camp is a unique experience where campers explore various media, art history and create projects that culminate in an end of session mock gallery opening where parents attend, and of course, there is pizza.

STEM camp is one of the most popular camps and this year is receiving a revamp. Depending on the week, campers may experience these themes: water, weather, planets and animals. Campers will have a rotating scheduling having them experience science, math, coding and engineering and technology with four different specialized teachers.

With a variety of sports camps to choose from, campers can dabble in as many sports as they can fit into their summer schedule. Passionate and experienced coaches will lead the following sports camps: Baseball, Basketball, Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Rock Sports, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track & Field, and Volleyball.

The camp 2020 season begins June 22 and goes through August 14. Before and after care is available for many of the camps. Glen Rock Community School camps will take place at Glen Rock High School this summer.
