Get Your Motor Runnin': Cars & Croissants Pulls Into Summit June 15

Exotic Supercars, like this Ferrari Scuderia, will be among the vehicles on display.

SUMMIT, NJ - Cars & Croissants, an informal car club which meets bi-monthly at various locations, will motor into Summit for the second consecutive year June 15.

The event will be held throughout the streets of downtown Summit (Springfield Avenue from Woodland Avenue to Glenwood Place; Beechwood Road from Union Place to the alley; Bank Street & lot, and Union Place from Maple Street to Summit Avenue) from 9 - 11 a.m., with a kick-off from the Summit High School Drumline.  During the event, Summit Avenue and Maple Street will be open to vehicular traffic.

Last year, the event was one of the largest Car & Croissants gatherings, with an estimated 500 cars for attendees to view.  Sponsored by Summit Downtown, Inc. (SDI), Cars & Croissants is not a car show competition, rather, an opportunity for fellow car lovers to gather and admire together.
“We are excited to host this event again,” said Marin Mixon, Executive Director of SDI. “And this year, attendees will have the opportunity to not just experience the cars but our downtown and Farmers Market as well.”

Cars & Croissants is a weather-permitting event, with free visitor parking available in the Tier parking lots behind Springfield Avenue and Broad Street at Summit Avenue, and behind the Summit Post Office.  The Summit Farmers Market, located in the Park & Shop Lot on the corner of Maple Street and Deforest Avenue, will be open between 8 am -1 p.m.
