SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Union Catholic, which dominated the game with superior ball control and relentless pressure in the offensive third, received second-half goals from Jennifer Lynes and Olivia Yarem to defeat Rahway, 2-0 on Tuesday in Scotch Plains.

Izzy DiDario played solid in net for the Vikings as she made five saves to help UC improve to 1-2 on the season.

Lynes broke the scoreless tie near the midway point of the second half when she took a pass from Yarem and drilled a shot just under the crossbar from a few yards outside the box. Yarem put the game away when she took a nice feed from Jamie Bonaccorso and sent the ball into the right corner of the net.
