Gov. Livingston Baseball Heads To UCT Finals With Win Over Dayton, 6-1

UNION, NJ - Gov. Livingston will face Westfield next Saturday in the championship round of the UCT on Saturday, May 10 at Kean University in Union.  The Highlanders advanced by defeating Dayton, 6-1, on Saturday.

Ethan Frohman was on the mound for GL pitching all seven innings in this win -- allowing six hits, one run, striking out four and walking two.  

The Highlanders took the early 3-0 lead in the second inning with Michael Falk smashing a two-run triple and came home on a wild pitch.

Steven Duda and John Tedesco advanced the lead to 6-0 in the fourth with an RBI single and two run hit respectively.

Drew Farbstein hit a single to earn Dayton's sole RBI single in the sixth. 

Number one seed Gov. Livingston look to earn the UCT Championship title by playing number two Westfield, who defeated defending UCT Chamion Cranford, 4-1, in their semifinal round.
