Gov. Livingston Boys Lacrosse Defeats Warren Hills, 12-5


BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Hat tricks by Alex Lipnick and Brian Hutton propelled the Gov. Livingston boys lacrosse team past Warren Hills with a 12-5 victory on Tuesday. 

Brian Hutton was first to score late in the first putting GL on the board. Following Hutton’s goal, Max Toglia and Tommy O’Sullivan each recorded a goal early in the second.  Matt Rothfeld added to the tally finishing the half for GL with a 4-1 lead.

Jesse Giambra secured GL's lead by opening the second half shooting and scoring to give GL a safe four goal lead.

Hutton, Rothfeld and Toglia each had their second goals of the game within minutes, advancing to an 8-2 lead. 

Scoring four goals, Warren Hills' second half attempt wasn't enough. Alex Lipnick had an explosive three goal run to put the game out of reach. 

Hutton scored the final goal of the game for the 12-5 victory.

Peter Kransey recorded 15 saves for GL.

Gov. Livingston Boys Lacrosse will face Newark Academy under the lights Thursday at 7 p.m. at Snyder Avenue Field in Berkeley Heights.
