Gov. Livingston Football Huge Win Over Hillside


HILLSIDE, NJ - Five weeks into the season, Gov. Livingston Football has found its groove. Playoffs are within reach for the Highlanders (2-3) as they were named The Star-Ledger's "Team to Watch"  this week.

The Highlanders, who have won their last two games, dominated Saturday's game against Hillside, 49-14, on away turf.  Quarterback John Wills had a perfect passing game throwing for 129 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 37 yards and a score.  

Alex Boyd scored three touchdowns, including rushing for 79 yards and catching a 30-yard touchdown pass from Wills.

"We were able to start out strong and get key turnovers. The team played with intensity throughout the game," said Boyd. 

Gov. Livingston looks to keep the streak going Friday, Oct. 18 in Clark against Johnson at 7 p.m.
