BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Gov. Livingston girls basketball team came from behind to defeat Hillsborough on Tuesday at Gov. Livingston, 39-29.

Hillsborough led, 20-14, at halftime and GL held them in the third quarter to tie the score, 20-20.  

Hayley Berliner led the Highlanders with 10 points in the victory.  "We came out slow in the first half, but made adjustments and came together as a team to take the lead in the second half," said Berliner, a junior.

The Lady Highlanders travel to face Sayreville, Thursday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. 

The first round of the NJSIAA North 2, Group 3 state tournament is scheduled for Monday, March 3 with 10th-seeded Gov. Livingston playing seventh-seeded South Plainfield at 7 p.m. at South Plainfield High School.
