FANWOOD, NJ – Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr will be cutting the ribbon for the grand opening of Sacred Karma Yoga and Wellness Center, a full-service yoga studio, on Saturday at 9 a.m. at 222 South Ave.
Residents are invited to attend and events will include free gifts, raffles, snacks and tea. It is an opportunity to meet the owners, staff and purchase seven days of yoga for $7.
The owners, Evelyn and Ricardo Lisojo, have many years of experience and are committed to sharing Chair Yoga and Gentle Restorative Therapeutic Yoga for seniors and people wishing a gentler form of practice. This has been a staple of their professional practice since 2003. Other offerings will be family yoga, children’s yoga, yoga dance classes, meditation, and workshops for all ages.
Yoga is an ancient philosophy and practice that has grown in modern times to service more than 20 million people in the United States with benefits such as stress reduction, increased physical fitness as well as emotional benefits.
