CALDWELL, NJ — Three students from Grover Cleveland Middle School have been chosen as official entrants into the 2021 Count Basie Center Teen & College Film Fest.

Eighth-grader Charlie Cosgrove entered a film entitled "The Aliens of Titan Episode One." He created a stop-motion film on the start of an alien invasion.

Eighth-graders Portia Cina Melia Hillman entered a film entitled "Beneath the Skin." This is the story of Portia's life experiences with a rare skin condition. Melia helped record and edit the film.

Both films are entered in the "Middle School" category. Both are also entered into the "Audience Award" competition, which is based solely on audience votes.

"Please take a moment to view both of these outstanding films and please consider voting for Charlie, Portia and Melia in the Audience Award category," said GCMS principal John Bertollo.

The festival will announce the winners live on April 14.
