HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - After being closed since mid-March, the Free Public Library of Hasbrouck Heights is set to reopen on Tuesday, September 29. Due to the nature of the setup on the second floor of Borough Hall, the public is asked to make appointments in advance.

Masks must be worn at all times. Visitors are given 30 minutes to browse and borrow items.  The library will continue with curbside pickup service and expand its hours.

According to Mimi Hui, Library Director, the public’s health and safety is a priority to the Library. Hui and her staff have taken care to abide by the social distancing guidelines set forth by the Governor’s Office and what is outlined by the CDC. The material collection has been professionally deep cleaned, plexiglass barriers have been set up at each service desk, hand sanitizing dispensers are located throughout borough hall and the library for everyone’s convenience, and protocols have been setup on how to handle materials upon their returned.
