CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham Township police responded to a head-on motor vehicle accident on River Road, where both drivers and a passenger were transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital.
On March 2 at 3:15 p.m., police were called to an accident in the 700 block of River Road. A preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Marcia Salazar-Cerdas, 22, of Chatham Borough was traveling east on River Road when she crossed over the center lines and stuck a vehicle heading westbound.
A passenger in Salazar-Cerdas’s vehicle, injured in the accident, had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Chatham Township Fire Department. The passenger and both drivers were transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital by the Chatham Emergency Squad for treatment non-life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
