Hearts for Horses Fundraiser on Feb. 23 benefits SPUR

Come in from the cold and join Special People United to Ride, Inc. (SPUR) at its Hearts for Horses Fundraiser on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at 6:30 p.m.

All proceeds will benefit the SPUR Scholarship Fund. The event will be hosted by On the Deck Restaurant and Bar and will feature live music and a 50/50 raffle. Food will be available for purchase.

Tickets can be obtained for $25 at www.spuronline.org, at Sunnyside Equestrian Center, 628 Middletown Lincroft Rd., Lincroft, New Jersey 07738, or at the door. Each ticket comes with a SPUR cup, which can be picked up at the event, to enjoy free draft beer.

SPUR, is a 501(c)(3) organization that works in conjunction with the Monmouth County Park System and Sunnyside Equestrian Center to bring the benefits of therapeutic horsemanship to individuals with physical, cognitive and developmental disabilities. SPUR students’ progress in strength, balance, and self-confidence not only provides a very special sense of accomplishment but also crosses over to enhance their daily lives. Requests for financial aid rise each session. The mission of the SPUR Board of Directors is to ensure that no student is turned away from the programs due to financial need. This year the target is to raise more than $40,000 for the SPUR Scholarship Fund.
