UNION, NJ - While parents and children are in the final weeks of summer break, school teachers are preparing lesson plans and classrooms for the upcoming school year.
TAPinto Union is publishing a mini-series spotlighting Union teachers who need a little extra help in making their classroom the best learning experience for their students. We will feature teachers who posted a classroom project on DonorsChoose.org, a website that hosts classroom projects, connecting “the public to public schools,” according to its website.
Project: Help Us Stay Organized
Teacher: Cynthia Ferretti
School: Washington Elementary
Project: “Seat Sacks will help us stay organized and will keep our day flowing smoothly,” reads the project’s DonorsChoose.org website. “My students are young and helping them develop good organizational skills will give them a better opportunity to focus on the task at hand, instead of looking for things that they need in a messy desk. Students will have their books at their fingertips.”
“The students will be ready to work knowing exactly where everything is located and this will take the guesswork out of where and how to find things.”
Additional Comments: “Staying organized is an important skill to learn, especially in the lower grades,” said Ferretti. “Organization is a skill that will help the students all of their lives.”
Project Goal: $349.11
Still Needed: $339.11
