Molly is a 3 month old St. Bernard/Shepherd mix. Fully grown she will be a large dog estimated between 61 and 100 pounds. Home for Good Dog Rescue rescued Molly from a high kill shelter in York, South Carolina. When she came to New Jersey, she had unusual and bloody diarrhea.
On Saturday, January 4th, Molly was brought to Garden State Veterinary Hospital for emergency surgery; where it was discovered that Molly had a double Intussusception. Read about her issue here. It is believed that while she was at the shelter in South Carolina, Molly was so infested with worms and parasites that it damaged her colon. The doctors at Garden State Veterinary Hospital removed about a foot and a half of Molly’s intestines. Molly received the best care possible at Garden State Veterinary. The surgery went extremely well and Molly is expected to make a full recovery. A special fundraiser has been set up for Molly’s expenses. Molly's recovery has gone well and she is now ready for adoption. She is spayed and up to date with shots.
