Atlantic City children ages 3-12 are invited to enjoy an afternoon of Winter Wonderland fun from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The City of Atlantic City and Atlantic City Free Public Library will present this free community event in the Convention Center's Hall A. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The ballroom will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland, complete with seasonal decorations - including snowmen, toy soldiers, candy canes, reindeer - festive music, plus special appearances by Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, and balloon animal-making elves. Besides there being plenty to see, there will be plenty for children to do. They will have the opportunity to jump around in moon bounces, watch entertaining magic shows, create holiday ornaments and sand art, decorate cookies, play fun games, have their faces painted and more.

One of the highlights of the event will be a bicycle raffle. Eight new children's bicycles and helmets will be given away as part of the free raffle. The city and library will provide free giveaways, while supplies last. Also, 99.3 KISS FM, 95.1 WAYV, 100.7 WZXL and 96.1 WTTH The Touch will be on hand and giving out prizes - and South Jersey Gas will randomly give away five $100 gift certificates that can be applied toward its gas bill. "Celebrating the festive holiday season is what Winter Wonderland is all about. I encourage families to take part in this very special community event," said Mayor Lorenzo T. Langford, adding, "Winter Wonderland is sure to delight children and provide a fun, enjoyable and memorable experience for the entire family."
