SCRANTON, PA - Alexandra Benadon of Hillborough, NJ is one of nine students at The University of Scranton to receive the 2018-19 Frank O'Hara medals.
Frank O'Hara medals were given to students with the highest grade-point averages in their first, second and third year in the College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management and the Panuska College of Professional Studies for the 2018-19 academic year.
The awards, named in honor of the late Frank O'Hara who served the University for 53 years in various administrative positions, were presented at a ceremony held recently on campus.
Benadon received a medal for academic achievement for her freshman year. She is currently a sophomore majoring in human resources with a double minor in business and finance. She received athletic honors in field hockey, including All Landmark Conference Second Team and ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholar of Distinction, and participates in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Society for Human Resource Management. She also volunteered this past summer as an Orientation Assistant at the University.
