HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - The 2018 Hillsborough Rotary Fair looked like a washout on its opening night, but Mother Nature came through and the skies cleared in time for the arrival of those dedicated community members for whom the Fair has become an annual tradition.

Dusk began to settle in Tuesday night just as the rain stopped, and a rainbow cut across the sky east of the fairgrounds off Route 206 adjacent to the Hillsborough Promenade Shopping Center.

The Fair is the premier fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Hillsborough, and enables the Club to make financial contributions to a wide variety of community organizations and causes throughout the year.

Some 15,000 guests are expected to attend the Fair over its six-day run.

Hours are 6-10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; 6-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2-7 p.m. Sunday.

Thursday and Saturday are Wristband Nights when guests can pay one price ($30) and ride free all night. The Fair boasts over 21 thrill rides, games, food, a DJ, a local business showcase, and, on Friday evening, a spectacular fireworks display sponsored by Petrock's Bar and Grill.
