SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - The South Plainfield Police Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying two motor vehicles involved in a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident involving a stolen motor vehicle.  On Tuesday, October 30th, 2018, at 11:30 PM, a stolen white Lexus occupied by one individual was seen trying to overtake a light colored 2004-2008 Acura TL on Hadley Road.  A surveillance video shows the Lexus loose control and crash into a utility pole causing the pole to snap in half.  The driver of the Lexus exits the disabled vehicle, enters the Acura and leaves the area.  The police department wants to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash or drove by the scene.
