HAWTHORNE, NJ - Green Team member Holly Cowen has been part of Team-sponsored birdwalks in the borough and continues to snap extraordinary pictures of some of the wildlife in Hawthorne.  Cowen has shared some with TAPinto Hawthorne, predominantly highlighting birds passing the winter in town.  Among them are a Great Blue Heron, Yellow Throated Sparrow, Black Squirrel, Carolina Wren, Brown Creeper, Tufted Titmouse, and a male Cardinal.

A red-tailed hawk in Hawthorne has been given the nickname of "Hollywood" given its photogenic nature and apparent lack of shyness for the camera.
