Hopatcong - Resident Charged With Distribution of CDS

NAME OF THE ACCUSED: Thomas Mccusker
ACCUSED LIVES IN: Point Pleasant Road Hopatcong
OFFICER INVESTIGATING: Detective Rico of Roxbury Police Department and Detective Tracey of  Hopatcong Police Department
CHARGES AGAINST THE ACCUSED: Resisting Arrest(dp), Possession of a syringe(dp),  Possession of paraphernalia(scale) (dp),  Possession of Marijuana for distribution(less than one ounce 4th degree two counts) ,Possession with intent to distribute  marijuana  one ounce or more (3rd degree), Distribution of marijuana withing 500 feet of a park(3rd degree)  and possession of steroids (3rd degree)
WHAT IS THE SUSPECTED CDS: Marijuana and steroids
PARAPHERNALIA: a pipe, syringe and a scale
ANY OTHER INFORMATION: The culmination of a joint undercover investigation between Roxbury and Hopatcong Police Departments that lasted 3 weeks ended in the arrest of Thomas Mccusker today.  Around 10:00 am police officers went to Mccuskers home with a search warrant.  Inside the home officers found 3 large bags of marijuana totaling approximately 3 ounces, a bottle of steroids, steroids in pill form, a bowl used to smoke marijuana and a scale used for distribution of marijuana.  Mccusker had sold marijuana in both Roxbury and Hopatcong within the last 3 weeks. During the arrest Mccusker pulled away from the arresting officer for which he was charged with resisting arrest. The search warrant was conducted by Hopatcong Police officers, Roxbury Police officers and Sussex County drug detection K-9 Officer McMorrow.  McCusker was arrested, and is being processed at this time.
