On Mon., May 12, at 6:30 p.m., the Mountainside Public Library will be hosting a free event to the public.
How to Understand and Adapt to the Current Job Market, is an educational program that explains the reason for the uncertainly in today’s job market, the ways employers are reacting, and the impact on job seekers. It explains the role of recruiters now and in the future and gives suggestions about how best to work with them. And it describes two new tools: one that identifies the keywords employers use for a specific position and how to match those words with your résumé and one with visual slides to identify the things employers want, versus the things a job seeker’s résumé offers.
Alex Freund, known as the “landing expert,” is an effective and successful career and interviewing coach. He is prominent in several job-search networking groups, conducts workshops on effective resume development and the use of LinkedIn in the job-search process, teaches a career development seminar, and publishes a blog designed especially for job seekers.
