HR Acuity Honored with Rising Star Award by NJTC

October 16, 2013 at 3:40 PM

SUMMIT, NJ - Summit resident Deborah Muller and her company, HR Acuity, have been selected as the recipients of the Rising Star Award as presented by the New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC). Founded in 1996, the NJTC provides business support, networking opportunities, information, advocacy, and recognition of technology companies and their leaders.

HR Acuity was selected by a panel of judges, appointed by the NJTC, to receive the award, which is presented to the company that has the strongest potential to emerge as a leader in the technology industry.  The Rising Star Award will be presented to HR Acuity at the NJTC Awards Celebration, which will take place at the Hyatt Regency Princeton Nov. 21.

HR Acuity was founded by Muller after she spent more than 20 years in key Human Resources  leadership roles in numerous Fortune 500 companies, including Citicorp, Honeywell, Marsh & McLennan and Dun & Bradstreet. HR Acuity's SaaS solution, HR Acuity On-Demand, is a Employee Relations Risk Management Solution that enables organizations to reduce cost and mitigate the legal and financial risks associated with adverse employee- related events.

“We are extremely honored to have been selected as the Rising Star Award recipient, from among such a talented group of innovative technology companies who were also nominated for this award," Muller said. "As a woman-owned business, HR Acuity is demonstrating the impact women are capable of as entrepreneurs and leaders in the technology community, and we look forward to emerging as the global leader in Employee Relations Risk Management Solutions.  I’d like to thank the judges and the NJTC for selecting HR Acuity as the winner of the Rising Star Award.”

Maxine Ballen, chief executive officer and president of the NJTC, said, “We are thrilled to have HR Acuity accept this award. This year was particularly difficult to select those being honored from the more than 50 nominations that came from deserving companies.  The judges were truly challenged and did a terrific job in identifying companies that represent the best of the region’s technology community.”

Man vs. Waze

A lot of strange cars are traveling through my quiet neighborhood these days.  They are not driven by my neighbors.  Some mornings I even have trouble getting out of my driveway.

Ever since bridge repair closed a major thoroughfare near my house, the traffic on my sleepy street has increased dramatically.  And it is not by accident that commuters have figured out ...
