BOGOTA, NJ - Hasbrouck Heights’ Tommy Capozzi scored two goals and added an assist as the Aviators defeated Bogota, 6-0 in an NJIC non-division game, Thursday afternoon in Bogota.
Hasbrouck Heights improves to 7-0 on the season, as Bayron Ramirez recorded his fourth shutout.
Capozzi opened the scoring eight minutes into the game, converting a pass from senior Alessandro Ciminata for a 1-0 lead. Jorge David Caceres increased the lead to 2-0, scoring on a penalty kick six minutes later. Ciminata added a goal of his own, converting a pass from Elton Mani with nine minutes remaining in the half.
Capozzi’s second of the game 13 minutes into the second half increased the lead to 4-0, with Gavin Kennedy picking up the assist. Rafi Mendoza scored a minute later, with Capozzi picking up the assist for a 5-0 lead.
John Jaramillo picked up the game’s final goal with three minutes remaining, on a pass from Renato Mani.
