Joe Piscopo is a resident of Lebanon Township and has lived in Tewksbury Township. Along with Eddie Murphy, Joe Piscopo was a player on Saturday Night Live for four seasons from 1980-84. On SNL, he was known for playing such characters as 60 Minutes Andy Rooney, Bruce Springsteen, and Frank Sinatra. In 1988, he played the role of "the Comedian" on an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation where Data attempts to learn about comedy. 

Piscopo received the Volunteer of the Year Award from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County. As a result of his charitable work, Piscopo started his own foundation called “The Positive Impact Foundation”, creating positive media for at-risk youth.  

Since January 2014 he has hosted Piscopo in the Morning on AM 970 in New York City. In February 2017, Piscopo was considering running as an independent for Governor of New Jersey in the 2017 gubernatorial election. However, in April of that year, he decided not to do so.
