BRIDGEWATER, NJ -- Eric Helgeson's goal in the third period broke a tie and gave Ridge a 3-2 ice hockey victory over previously undefeated, untied Pingry on Tuesday at Bridgewater Sports Arena.

Helgeson scored off an assist from Matt Balzarotti. Pingry (13-1) had taken a 1-0 lead into the second period, when Ridge (8-4-3) scored two goals, both on the power play, to take a 2-1 lead.

Luke Rich scored with an assist from Matt Innamarato and Blake Loges scored with a helper from Ridge goalie Marcus Fabiunke. In goal, Fabiunke finished with 23 saves.
