In Westfield, Man Hospitalized After Swallowing Heroin During Arrest

Lori A. Martino, 47, of Westfield responded to Westfield Police Headquarters to satisfy the following Westfield Municipal Court warrants # E1318223, #E1318146, #E1318067, #E1317976, and #E1317788 all in the amount of $67. Total amount of bail $335. Martino was then placed under arrest on the strength of the warrants, processed and released after posting full bail.

Lori Lacey, 46, of Kenilworth was arrested for D.W.I. pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Central Avenue and Sussex Street. Lacey was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed and released to a sober adult.

Alyssa Irizarry, 21, of Middlesex was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for her arrest from Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $114. Irizarry was processed and posted bail.

A resident from Pine Court reports being the victim of theft. Unknown actors removed a watch from the victim’s residence worth $14,999.

Bruce Darby, 20, of Plainfield was arrested on outstanding warrants issued by Scotch Plains and Piscataway Municipal Courts subsequent to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Rahway Avenue/W. Broad Street. Darby was transported to the Westfield Police Department, processed and turned over to Scotch Plains Police Department in lieu of $943 bail and $732 bail from Piscataway.

Matthew Dellandrino, 24, of Garwood was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant out of Westfield Municipal Court ($500) at Garwood Police Department. Dellandrino was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on posted bail.

Lorenzina Snell, 48, of Westfield was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant out of Millburn Municipal Court ($165) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop at W. South Avenue/Boulevard. Snell was processed and released on posted bail.

Erica R. Dilcher, 19, of Clark was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant ($290) out of Westfield Municipal Court pursuant to a pickup at Hillside Police Department. Dilcher was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on bail.

September 28, 2013 10:57 a.m.

Azariah Lazar, 19, of Edison and Antigua Johnson, 19, of Kew Gardens, NY were arrested for multiple narcotics offenses pursuant to an investigation in the 400 block of W. North Avenue. Both Lazar and Johnson were charged with possession of heroin; possession of heroin with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property; possession of heroin with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park; possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lazar was additionally charged with destruction of evidence after consuming approximately ten folds of heroin upon police arrival. Both subjects were transported to Westfield Headquarters and processed. During the processing procedure Lazar was taken to the hospital for treatment of abdominal pain which was a direct result of swallowing aforementioned heroin. He later returned back to Headquarters. Bail was set at $100,000.00 each with no cash alternative. They were then transported to Union County Jail in lieu of posted bail.

Esteban Jimenez, 37, of Queen Creek, AZ was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Newark Municipal Court ($100) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Jimenez was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed and released on bail.

September 30, 2013 1:23 p.m.

Troy Johnson, 24, of Westfield was arrested as the result of a field investigation for possession of CDS (heroin). Johnson was released on his own recognizance with summons to appear in Union County Superior Court.

A resident of Floral Court in Westfield reported an act of identity theft when two transactions totaling $1,600 were unauthorized against his valid American Express account.
