PATERSON, NJ - An investigation is underway into an overnight incident that left a 21-year old Prospect Park man with a non-fatal gunshot wound.

According to a statement by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Belmont Avenue at approximately 12:39 a.m on Sunday on a report of shots fired. 

Upon arrival police found the wounded victim inside a residence and he was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Medical Center by Paterson Fire Department EMS for treatment.

As of this time no crime scene has been located.
