Indulgence Day Spa in South Orange Named a Top Spa in the State

March 15, 2014 at 9:19 PM

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – The Village’s very own Indulgence Day Spa has been selected as one of New Jersey’s finest spas by InStyle Magazine.  Owners Patrice Hairston and Joye Foust are excited to receive some recognition for the hard work they have put in creating their 1½-year-old business.

“Every year, InStyle publishes a Black Book, and the new one features our Honey-Ginger Massage and names Indulgence Day Spa as a top spa in the state,” Hairston said.

“One of the things that sets us apart is that all of the products we use are either natural, handmade or organic,” Foust said.  “One organic line we use is called Eminence, which is used in places like the Four Seasons and the Ritz-Carlton and is a very exclusive line.  Many of our products are plant-based, some with fruits or nuts or coconut.”

“All of our nail lacquers are free of formaldehyde and harsh chemicals,” she said.  “We feature four lines, including Butter London, and Zoya, which is a vegan product.”  All manicures and pedicures include spa services, such as scrubs and hot towels.  Their pedicure benches feature stainless steel bowls and do not have jets, which foster bacteria. All stations are cleaned and sterilized after every customer.

While prices for nail services might be slightly higher than at nail salons, the full spa treatments and personalized service from licensed technicians makes it worth more.  They get to know their customers and do not rush through the services they provide, which include facials, massages and more.

The beautifully renovated two-story space is also available to rent for private events, parties and corporate functions.

“We love South Orange and the people here,” said Hairston.  “The decision to open up here was absolutely the right one,” added Foust.

They are planning specials for Mother’s Day and offer gift cards as well.

Indulgence Day Spa is located at 61 South Orange Avenue, South Orange.  Phone 973.821.5609; www.myindulgencedayspa.com
