Interfaith Holocaust Memorial March and Service is Sunday


SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The 37th Annual Interfaith Holocaust Remembrance Service: "Memories from the Past, Lessons for the Future," will take place on Sunday, April 27.  The schedule is as follows:

3:00 p.m  March of Remembrance:  Gather at the corner of Grove Road and Raymond Avenue (South Orange, NJ) to participate in the March of Remembrance.

4:00 p.m.  Remembrance Service:  Join us at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel, 432 Scotland Road, South Orange, New Jersey for the annual commemorative service.   Representatives from local church and synagogue choirs and Voices in Harmony will take part in this year's service.  In "Memories from the Past, Lessons for the Future" members of the community will enact vignettes based on experiences of survivors, liberators and Righteous Christians.  Readers from the community and Seton Hall students will participate in this service.

5:30 p.m.  Presentation of the Sister Rose Thering Education Award to Ellen Hark, an amazing teacher who has enlightened her students about the Holocaust through art and poetry.
