Investigation Underway into Robbery and Shooting of Paterson Man Following Taxi Ride

PATERSON, NJ- An investigation is ongoing into an incident which left a a 23-year-old Paterson man shot and robbed by two men he shared a cab with on Sunday.

According to a statement by  Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 8th Avenue between East 17th and 18th Street at approximately 11:22 p.m.

Upon arrival the police located the victim who had sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound and was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
