Investors Bank, a longtime supporter of Family Promise, recently presented the organization with a check for $12,500 at the national nonprofit’s headquarters in Summit. The gift was the first installment of a $25,000 sponsorship of events celebrating Family Promise’s 30th anniversary this year.
Janine Grieco, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager at Investors’ Summit Branch, was present for the donation, along with Retail District Manager Charles Gambino. Grieco praised the collaboration between the two companies: “Investors Bank and its Foundation are proud to support Family Promise’s commitment to fight family homelessness in New Jersey and across the country. We recognize the importance of doing the right thing to support the communities we work in.”
Investors Bank has provided support over the years to assist Family Promise’s efforts to raise awareness and engagement in the fight against family homelessness. This support includes funding for the development of Affiliates, the most recent being Family Promise of Hudson County, which opened in June of 2018.
Family Promise comprises more than 200 Affiliates in 43 states and engages 200,000 volunteers nationwide. Since its inception in 1988, Family Promise has served more than 825,000 people—more than 90,000 last year. Its holistic, community-based approach delivers a comprehensive set of solutions through prevention, shelter, and stabilization programs nationwide.
In 2018, Family Promise was awarded Charity Navigator’s coveted 4-star rating for its fifth consecutive year, a top distinction from America’s largest independent charity evaluator. The rating demonstrates Family Promise’s commitment to accountability and transparency— an honor only 9% of charities achieve.
