James Caldwell High School, Glen Ridge and Mount St. Dominic Academy Team Together to Help Raise Funds for Wounded Warriors Project

WEST CALDWELL, NJ - The James Caldwell High School (JCHS) athletic department in West Caldwell, will sponsor the fourth annual Colonel John McHugh Memorial Soccer Saturday on Sept. 13, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

This month, the department will host two separate fundraisers spearheaded by several members of the boys’ and girls’ soccer programs to benefit the soccer teams and the Wounded Warrior Project. The Wounded Warrior Project strives to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members; help injured service members aid and assist each other; and provides unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.

The fundraisers include an apparel sale with choice of logos and a dining event at Chipotle Mexican Grill in West Caldwell. The first event features official Under Armour Gear, which will be available for purchase via an online web store at To purchase, visit the website, click Log In Now and enter the code  porfid3DY. This year, JCHS local opponents, Glen Ridge and Mount Saint Dominic Academy (MSDA), will also participate in the fundraising efforts to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project. Logos for JCHS, Glen Ridge and MSDA are all available via the online store. All orders must be placed by Aug. 24, to be received in time for the event. Wounded Warrior apparel will not be available at the event.

In addition, the teams will host a dining fundraiser at Chipotle Mexican Grill in West Caldwell on Friday, Aug. 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Chipotle of West Caldwell, located at 749 Bloomfield Avenue, will donate 50 percent of the proceeds raised during the dining event hours back to the JCHS Soccer Booster Clubs. The funds raised will help with scholarships for senior boy and girl soccer players and raise additional funds for the Wounded Warrior Project. In order to qualify for the promotion, patrons must mention the promotion, and show the flyer (see accompanying photo) on paper or smart phone prior to the cashier when ordering.  

The Sept.13 Memorial Soccer Saturday event includes several games at JCHS and the announcement of the Colonel John McHugh Memorial Award winners. Food, drink, raffles and JCHS soccer apparel will be available for purchase at the event. The game schedule for Sept.13 is below:

Essex County College's West Essex Campus Open House Set for Saturday
