Jane Austen Quilts on View at First Congregational Church of Westfield

A presentation by the author of Jane Austen Quilts, a manual of design inspired by Austen's novels, will be held at First Congregational Church on Friday, February 21, at 7:30 pm.

The Women's Fellowship of First Congregational Church invites all quilters and Jane Austen fans to join us this Friday evening, February 21, at 7:30pm in Patton Auditorium at 125 Elmer Street in Westfield for a presentation on Jane Austen Quilts by author Karen Gloeggler.

A quilter for over 20 years, Ms. Gloeggler will discuss her inspirations and adventures in creating the book, which is a manual of quilting designs based on Austen’s novels. Learn about the quilt Austen herself made and how her novels inspired new designs and life lessons for Ms. Gloeggler.  Many of the quilts in the book will be on hand and tea and refreshments will be served.  Books will be available for purchase and signing.  This event is free and open to the public; please contact the the church office at or call 908-233-2494 to register.
