SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — The Jewish Community Center of Central NJ partnered with Homefirst this summer to offer homeless kids the opportunity to attend day camp for free. The program started in July and will continue to run until the end of August.
Participants receive free instructional swim lessons, swim daily, enjoy arts and crafts, create science projects and participate in outdoor activities. Transportation to and from camp and a healthy lunch are provided, as well.
Based in Plainfield, Homefirst has carefully developed and implemented integrated and comprehensive solutions to homelessness for nearly three decades. To learn more about Homefirst and its programs, visit http://www.homefirstinc.org/.
