WESTFIELD, NJ — Jeffrey’s of Westfield announced on its Facebook page that has closed its doors after 13 years. Chef Jeffrey Rust wrote:
“To Our Jeffrey's of Westfield Customers
“Jeffrey’s of Westfield will be CLOSED
effective Wednesday, July, 16.
“All of us at Jeffrey's thank you for your
support and loyalty the past 13 years.
“We are especially thankful for the many
friendships we have made over the years.
“As we move on to pursue other ventures in life and business,
we look forward to seeing you around town.
“Thank you again for your patronage.”
At Tuesday night’s town council meeting, the sale of the restaurant’s liquor license to another vendor was approved. Jeffrey’s was the first restaurant in Westfield to receive a Wine Spectator Magazine Award of Excellence, according to its website.
