HOBOKEN, NJ - As dawn broke on Thursday morning, a Jersey City man was caught breaking into a car in Hoboken.

Just after 6:00 a.m, on September 17, 2020, Sergeant Donald Rosso, Police Officer Jesse Castellano, and Police Officer Brandon Fitzgibbons responded to the area of 156 2nd Street on a report of an individual breaking into vehicles, according to Hoboken Police.

Officers arrived and found an individual in the back seat of a white Honda with its rear driver side window broken. Steven Felton, 57, from Jersey City, also had two boxes next to the vehicle containing what is believed to be proceeds of the Burglary—valued at about $470.00.

Felton was arrested, and found to be in possession of a burglar’s tool and drug paraphernalia. He was transported to headquarters and charged with Burglary, Theft, Burglar’s Tool, Criminal Mischief, and Drug Paraphernalia. He was then transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

Defendant is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
