JFK Boys Basketball Team Advances in PCT

PATERSON, NJ - In a game highlighted by sophomore guard Alphonso Gee's 1,000th career point, the John F. Kennedy varsity boys' basketball team advanced in the Passaic County Tournament with a 67-56 victory over Passaic Valley on Sunday.

Gee scored 17 points and junior guard Jevin Rawl also scored 17 in JFK's victory in the quarterfinals. It was the third victory in the last four game for the Knights, who will play undefeated Hawthorne Christian in the semifinals at home on Saturday afternoon. 

In Sunday's victory, a 20-5 run in the second quarter gave JFK (13-9) a 35-19 halftime lead. Brian Patterson and Aalim Jones each finished with eight points in the Knights' victory.

PATERSON, N.J. - The Green Acres Program has purchased an 8.5 acre tract of land adjacent to the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park.
