Hundreds of Union County residents and visitors turned out for the Rutgers Master Gardeners of Union County Garden Fair last Sunday. Proceeds from the annual event help fund Master Gardeners’ horticulture education and service programs, including a veggie “Sharing” garden for local food banks, and gardening programs for youths and adult with disabilities.
The all-volunteer group is run by the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Union County and supported in part by the Freeholder Board.
Applications to join the Master Gardeners are now online at ucnj.org/rce, or call the Extension office in Westfield at 908-654-9854.
