Jon Siegel: New Competitive Aquatics Director at the Madison Area YMCA

The Madison Area YMCA is pleased to announce that Jon Siegel is the new Competitive Aquatics Director. 

Since 2004, Jon was the Montclair YMCA’s Head Swim Coach. Prior to that, he spent eight years as the Head Swim Coach and Associate Aquatics Director at the Madison Area YMCA. He was also the Head Swim Coach at the West Essex YMCA for three years.  

“We are excited to welcome Jon back to the Madison Area YMCA,” said Madison Area YMCA President & CEO Diane Mann. “Jon’s impressive background and credentials coupled with his passion for competitive swimming make him the ideal choice for this role.”

For the past 25 years, Jon has coached swimming in the Northern New Jersey area. He is an ASCA Level 5 Swim Coach, is currently on the YMCA of the USA Swim Coach Faculty and serves on the New Jersey YMCA Swim League Executive Committee.

Jon’s impressive background includes coaching athletes to Olympic Trials and alumni to the Olympics. He sat on the New Jersey Swimming Board of Directors as both Junior and Senior Coach Representative and on the USA Swimming National Communications Committee. Jon was the Head Coach of the NJ Swimming All Star Zone Team in 1999, 2002, 2005 and 2008 and was an assistant coach at Zones in 2000 and 2003. He also coached USA Swimming's Eastern Zone Select Camp in 2006.
