CHATHAM, NJ - The Junior League of Summit's fourth Annual ''Trivia Night' raised an estimated $15,000, proceeds that will benefit the League's Annual Fund supporting community grants, scholarships and projects such as Giving and Receiving Assistance for Our Community’s Essentials (GRACE), the League’s signature community outreach project and the main focus of which is fighting food insecurity in Summit and the surrounding communities.
Held at Chatham Fish & Game, the event consisted of nine rounds of questions and a physical challenge, and was judged by Beth Little, Summit City Councilwoman, Amy Cairns, Chief Communications Officer for the City of Summit, and Dr. Robert Murwaski, Associate Professor of Physics at Drew University.
As in previous years, the evening featured Adam Zucker, host of CBS Sports' 'College Football Today', as the competition's emcee.
The overall winning team was 'The Cloud', Best Costumes honor went to the team known as 'F. Scott Quizgeralds', with Table Décor and Best Team Spirit award going to 'The Pottyheads'.
"It was such a wonderful night. I'm always astounded by how much creativity people put into this with their elaborate costumes and table décor,” commented Trivia Night Chair Rachel Zucker. “Everyone seems to have a great time regardless of whether they're winning. Thanks to all our volunteers and our sponsors, without whom it would not be possible. We're thrilled to be able to enjoy the evening with everyone and know we're raising money for a good cause."
