MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills (JLOSH) held its Annual Super Saturday training for their members, community partners and other Junior League sister organizations on January 11 at Morrow Memorial Church.
More than 30 attendees devoted the morning to two workshops: "Preparing Yourself For Successful Leadership," led by Ettie Shapiro of Coaching Results; and "Grant Seeking Basics," led by Luz Rodriguez of the Foundation Center.
“We are especially proud to be able to offer this Super Saturday training not just to our own members, but also to be able to open it up to our community partners and sister organizations,” said JLOSH President Sara D’Andrea. “We believe that with training, we will all be better volunteers and able to serve our community more effectively.”
Each year, JLOSH offers ongoing training during their general membership meetings and Super Saturdays through their Leadership Development Institute (LDI). The primary goal of LDI is to enhance and help build leadership skills that members can use while in JLOSH as well as in other volunteer & professional endeavors.
JLOSH provides educational and charitable service to women in East Orange, Livingston, Maplewood, Milburn, Orange, Short Hills, South Orange, Springfield and West Orange. Learn more at www.jlosh.org.
