ROXBURY, NJ - Kennedy Elementary School teachers Amber Davis and Lorey Deeb and their students recently had some fun with cross-curricular activities on National Pizza Day.
With help from a local pizzeria, the students participated in activities that all related to pizza for the day. The activities included math, writing, reading and science to make the day a unique and memorable experience.
With great excitement, students created step-by-step descriptive essays while teaming up with Tom Ptasznik of Anthony Franco’s Pizza. Ptasznik provided a video of him making pizza at the restaurant and live-streamed with the students to participate in a Q & A session on “How to Make a Pizza”.
Students and staff at the school were also treated to pizza by Ptasznik to make the day even more memorable.
