Kids in the Kitchen Club at the Essex County Environmental Center

ROSELAND, NJ - “Kids in the Kitchen Club” is a group for eight to twelve years olds who meet at the Essex County Environmental Center. The next gathering will take place inside Garibaldi Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 3:45pm. The fee is $10 per child, which includes material fees; the session is limited to a specific number of participants and parents should register their children ahead of time. The center is located at 621 Eagle Rock Avenue, Roseland and can be reached at (973) 228-8776 or by e-mail.

The class will help children who have an interest in cooking and developing kitchen skills. Participants will prepare an array of foods such as pizza, cookies, kale chips and fresh applesauce.

The Essex County Park System was created in 1895 and is the first county park system established in the United States. The Park System consists of more than 6,000 acres and has 22 parks, five reservations, an environmental center, a zoo, Treetop Adventure Course, ice skating rink, roller skating rink, three public golf courses, golf driving range, two miniature golf courses, three off-leash dog facilities, a castle and the Presby Memorial Iris Gardens.
